Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting for the Members of the Samoa Institute of Accountants for the year ended 31 December 2024 will be held at the Taumeasina Island Resort Conference centre on Friday, 28th March 2025 at 3:00pm.

- To receive and discuss the President’s Report for 2024
- To receive and approve the Institute’s Audited Annual Accounts for the year ended 31 December 2024 and the Budget for 2025 financial year
- To elect an Auditor for 2025
- To confirm new fellow members
- To elect a Council for 2025
- To elect the following office bearers from the elected council;
- President
- Vice President
- Treasurer
- Secretary
- General matters
Nominations of seven (7) Council members must be received by Friday 20th March 2025 no later than 4:00pm. Nominations must be in writing and require the endorsement by two (2) members qualified to vote at the election and the consent of the nominee. CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS PROGRAM 2025
The Samoa Institute of Accountants invites applications from those who are interested to undertake the Chartered Accountants (CA) Program. The CA Program is the professional examination that forms part of the prescribed qualifications to become a member of the Institute. The following Modules of the CA Program will be offered at the first semester which will commence in March 2024:

APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP AS ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN (AT)
Applications are invited for membership as Accounting Technician with the Samoa Institute of Accountants (SIA). All applicants must ensure that they satisfy the following criteria for AT membership stipulated under section 47 (b) of the Rules of the Institute.
Must hold a Diploma with a major in Accounting; and
Has at least 10 years of work experience which involves preparation or auditing of financial statements; and
Is of good character; and
Is willing to abide by the Act, Rules and Code of Ethics of the Institute; and
Is a citizen or permanent resident of Samoa as defined by the Immigration Act 1966 who must reside in Samoa at the time of application.

Seminar 6: Thursday 03 October 2024 AOA CR
Samoa Institute of Accountants was invited to present to the above Seminar which is part of the National University of Samoa Faculty of Business and Entrepreneurship workplan for each year, whereby Guest Speakers from different Government Ministries and Private Sectors are invited to share their expertise regarding their fields to enhance staff/students’ knowledge/understanding in learning and teaching for Capacity building in research, information and data collection.
